We have vowed to only ever give walking tours on foot. This is because Helsinki center is a small area, and can all be easily accessed by walking. To get to the areas a little more outside of the center, the public transport system here is excellent and very cheap - and every corner of the city can be accessed by the frequent public trams, buses, metro, and trains. Bicycles are also available, and we have a great cycling network!

In addition, on the route of our Free Tours, we always try to minimise our disruption in the city too. We don't take visitors into private businesses or universities, and we avoid other groups and crowded areas. Our guiding speakers are only ever set to a volume that is necessary for the groups to hear the guides speak. We believe that this is the correct way to operate in Helsinki.
